Size of the book... well, 3 novels, lots of extra space given on the sides for those annotations. I like the cover art, although they should've done something that portrayed more than just Raistlin & Caramon... it should've been something with all the Heroes of the Lance, or a mix of all the previous covers or something.

The annotations themselves were enjoyable. Although the Palanthas/thus thing isn't mention, it does bring up the Kagonesti differences, and accounts them to being the way they are spoken in different languages or whatnot. Very nice, in my opinion, works well for the Palanthas discrepancy as well.

Early on, however, it mentions things like Kitiara being the Highlord and Raistlin's bargain with Fist... I dunno how many people that have never touched Dragonlance went and picked up this hardcover, but it didn't have to be revealed so early on.

The fact it mentions a lot of other Dragonlance books out there: anthologies, Heroes books, Preludes, Meetings Sextant, shows that they're taking all books into account, not just "canon" material.

By the end of Dragons of Spring Dawning, however, it seemed like the group was just plain running out of steam, as the annotations became more and more sparse.

Overall, well, I doubt we'll see a paperback version of this one, seeing as how thick it is, and I'm not a spender on new hardcovers, especially with this one carrying a $35 price tag. It was definitely a fun read, however, and I hadn't read Chronicles in 5 years anyways (when I read it the first time).
