Dragonlance Nexus News Issue #23: 6/2/2002

WELCOME TO THE INN/NEWSLETTER ANNOUNCEMENT

Greetings, friends and fellow companions, and welcome back to another exciting issue of the Dragonlance.com/Nexus News!

As life would have it, it is now my job to write both newsletters. It makes more sense to me to write one newsletter, rather than to do two separate ones.

With that in mind, I will be consolodating the newsletters into one. As the Dragonlance.com News has more subscribers, I ask those on the Nexus News who are not already subscribers of the Dragonlance.com News go to Dragonlance.com and enter your e-mail address in the bottom of the screen where it mentions the newsletter. Any questions, feel free to e-mail me.

I will continue the double-newsletter for a few months still, and will just continue on with one newsletter shortly thereafter. The new combined newsletter will bring you the best of Dragonlance, whether novels or gaming.

Grab your hoopaks, my friends. The portal to adventure awaits!

DRAGONS OF A VANISHED MOON RELEASE DATE

I wanted to remind everyone that Dragons of a Vanished Moon, the final volume of the War of Souls trilogy, will be released on June 18. Weis and Hickman will be on tour promoting Vanished Moon as well. For more information, go to:

SOVEREIGN PRESS/DRAGONLANCE UPDATES

Work has begun on the Dragonlance d20 book, and the Whitestone Council is hard at work assisting! I'm not at liberty to give any details, but we've already completed one huge assignment for Sovereign Press, and we're working on our second assignment now! Jamie has been real pleased with our materials, and we're happy to be a part of this.

Wizards of the Coast has approved the outline of the book, and work is commencing right away.

NEW CONTINENT: WELCOME TO ADLATUM!

Work on the new continent project continues! This project, under the leadership of Cam "Attack of the Tanis Clone" Banks is skyrocketing along.

The basic themes are being worked on, and the races are being set up. More on this in future issues!

CLARION'S SECRET PROJECT

Clarion is working on a secret project for the fans of both Dragonlance.com and the Nexus. I've sent my spies to see what he's cooking up, but none have returned!

NEW ON DRAGONLANCE.COM

I just got the good word from Paladin on some new goodies on Dragonlance.com. He says that he's working through the backlog for fiction and poetry, new questions for Knights Council and the "Are you a DL fan" quiz, and he's adding some book reviews.

NEW ON THE NEXUS

Clarion tells me that there is a new journal entry from Bradley Potts in the Adventure Portal, and Granak tells me that there is new material in the Unofficial Rules (including a Blood Sea Mariner PrC by yours truly).

UNTIL NEXT TIME

As I sit here in the Inn of the Last Home eating those infamous spiced potatoes, I take a long look at my surroundings. "This is where it all began," I tell myself. I feel a sense of awe as it finally dawns on me that the road that I have traveled has led me back to the Inn of the Last Home.

After sitting there awhile soaking up the history, I look outside and see children playing. I hear their songs and their laughter, and especially their stories about knights and wizards and dragons. I know that those stories will always be told, so long as there are people who will keep them in their hearts and believe.

So let us meet back at the Inn of the Last Home in another month. There will be more tales to be told, even as a new legend is being forged.

Long Live the Lance!
