Dragonlance Art & Writing Contest
http://www.dragonlance.com/contest/
I am amazed at some of the work that has come in for the Dragonlance.com Art & Writing Contest! There are well over 30 entries in both categories, so choosing the two winners should be difficult (if not impossible!). The only downside is that I can never seem to find enough time to get all the submissions posted online -- but I will get it taken care of this weekend. The contest ends December 15; make sure to get your entries in soon!

New Books Published
http://www.dragonlance.com/bookstore/
Two new Dragonlance books have been published in the past month: the Annotated Dragonlance Chronicles by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman and Murder in Tarsis by John Maddox Roberts. The Annotated Chronicles is something else: my copy came in the mail last week; at 1100+ pages it's something else! In addition, there will be a book about Dalamar published in January 2000! It's called 'Dalamar the Dark' and is by Nancy Berberick.

Dragonlance.com Chat
http://www.dragonlance.com/chat/
Dragonlance.com now has its own IRC channel! The channel was recently registered with Undernet.org, and can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at channel #dlboard. More information (and programs to access the IRC network) are available on the Chat home page.

The Discussion Boards
http://www.dragonlance.com/board/
After several insane months (we're now up to 650 members), the Dragonlance.com Discussion Board has closed. What prompted this decision? Well, more details are available on the board's page, but the short version is this: the script crashed my server yesterday, and also exceeded my bandwidth restriction with my hosting company.

So what happens now? Well, read on...

5th.Network Stuff
http://www.dragonlance.com/news/
As many of you may know, Dragonlance.com was a part of 5th.net long before it was Dragonlance.com. Well, we haven't forgotten our roots entirely, and are in a loose affiliation with 5th.net and a number of other sites to create a fantasy network. I'll let you know as things develop, but it will be pretty cool when things get going.

So what does 5th.net have to do with the discussion boards? Well, the board will be moving there sometime in the next couple of weeks (I'm hoping for the end of this week, but no promises!). Again, I will let you know all the details as they become available.

That's it for this issue! Let me know if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, etc!

May your wanderlust never cease,
