Fans the world over can now rejoice. WotC announced yesterday that they would be rebooting the Dragonlance movie. Nina Myers, a spokesperson for WotC broke the news.

"We listened to what the fans said about the animated movie and came to realize that they were right. The film looked amateurish and not at all to the usual high standards set by WotC. So we gathered suggestions on what we could do to make it better. The consensus seemed to be, that a live action movie in the style of Lord of the Rings would be better, along with a reboot of the setting to the War of the Lance."

Myers let slip that the plot of the new movie would be very similar to that of the Star Trek movie directed by J.J. Abrams.

"This is a reboot of the franchise and will tie in with all aspects of the IP be they other continents, novels, or even sourcebooks," said Myers.

Myers went on to give fans a run down of the movie's plot, thereby spoiling it before it had even been produced.

"We've tapped Chris Pine to play Tanis Half-Elven and Zachary Quinto to play young Raistlin. Old Man Raistlin will be played by Kiefer Sutherland. Old Man Raistlin will be called upon in Krynn's future to repair Krynn's Sun which he does by opening a Temporal Singularity which rips apart Krynnspace and catapults him into the past. His well meaning attempts drive a wedge between his youthful counterpart and the future leader of the Companions – Tanis Half-Elven. Old Man Raistlin then engages in a series of manipulations designed to force the two to work together to defeat the Dark Queen. Of course, his device of time journeying is destroyed in the process leaving him trapped in the past."

Fans reported booed Myers off the stage after she spoiled the movie. Sources close to WotC report that they are working on a Forgetarator Ray to make fans forget what she told them.
