Storm Settles, Reveals Source
by DaemonAngel, Staff Writer
Northern Wastes – The electrical storm that the Herald has been following for some time has settled just outside the ruins known to scholars as the City of Lost Names.
Witnesses exploring the city have said that the storm settled just short of the ruin's outer limits revealing a huge column with four statues at its top, two griffons and two wyverns with a huge disc or bowl being held in their wings.
"It must be at least four-hundred feet tall and a hundred-sixty feet in diameter, and that's just the column itself," reported a scholar on site from the librarian, "The statues and the disk they're holding in with the wings must at another hundred feet tall with the disk itself two-hundred feet in diameter."
He went on to say that, "The column seems to have been carved from two single pieces, the column of gray granite, while the statues and the disk are obsidian. But the eyes are what are truly interesting being some type of blue crystal and we get the sense that they are watching everything."
So far the object remains stationary outside the ruins and shows no signs of moving. There are no indications of exactly what its purpose is or who or what, if anything, is controlling it. There is also no sign or word of the Red Robe Violes or any of the other missing storm chasers. Teal, the surviving Brass, with some hired help is still searching.
The PCs are either the hired help for Teal or they're already among the explorers in the ruins.
