Tower of Magius Found?

Caergoth - A young wizard this week claimed to have found the locations of the ruins of the tower of the famous wizard Magius.

This past week in Caergoth, a young white robe Kandyse Eldar, announced that she had discovered the location of the ruins of the Tower of the famous wizard Magius. A champion of the Third Dragonwar, Magius was the childhood friend and wizardly companion of the Knight of the Crown, Huma Dragonbane. Representatives of the Tower of High Sorcery at Wayreth have told the Herald that few records discussing the structure survive. Of those that do, they all say the same thing, that the building was ruined in an assault by the forces of the Queen of Darkness. Most wizards believe that whatever was left, was then drowned by the sea during the cataclysm.

"It was in the uncouth ramblings of a renegade wizard I found some tantalising hints that I felt warranted further investigation," said Kandyse Eldar. "In them the witch described how she would routinely enter the ruins of an ancient tower saturated with arcane power. She may have been insane, but she provided some excellent descriptions of the ruins and the artifacts within. Through her writings I managed to identify several items that were reputedly in Magius's possession at the time of the Third Dragonwar. After further careful study, I have deduced the location of these ruins."

"I'm planning on mounting an expedition to the ruins of the Tower of Magius as soon as possible. The library of knowledge gathered by the ancient Archmage was reputed to be one of the finest ever. It will be a fantastic honour to peruse whatever has survived the years."

When asked about the location, the wizardess refused to elaborate. "There could be great danger still within those walls, powerful enchantments, artifacts and the like. The witch also wrote of ghosts and goblins hiding in the shadows, whatever these may really have been, she was afraid of them. I don't want the deaths of gung-ho treasure seekers on my conscious. There is also the danger of unscrupulous sorts exploiting what treasures they find. No, I think I will keep the ruins location to myself."

Adventure Hooks

Kandyse Eldar needs adventurous and capable companions on her expedition to this mysterious ruin.
