Mysterious Fire at Lenne's Lighthouse

Solanthus - The sensational, sorcerous singer, Lenne was a victim this weekend. While she was in Palanthas visiting with friends and performing for Lord Markham, her lighthouse home burned nearly to the ground. Rumors of arson are flying about the city while others are saying that she had left a magical experiment unattended which resulted in fire.

Neighbor Markus Mykels had this to say, "I seriously doubt that Lenne left an experiment unattended. She doesn't use fire magicks that I've ever heard of. She uses light and illusion to entertain, nothing physically dangerous, and her magickal projects stem from those studies. I should know, I help her market her wares." City officials have confirmed Mister Mykels' association with Lenne.

The kender, Bryant Burrfoot (supposedly a distant relative of the legendary Tasslehoff Burrfoot), claims to have seen three people lurking near the lighthouse the night of the fire, but no one would take a statement from a kender as they are known for telling tall tales. No one is able to prove Bryant Burrfoot's relation to the Hero of the Lance as there are probably well over a hundred kender with the same last name and most are probably not truly related at all.

The Knights Council has reason to think that this attack upon Lenne has something to do with the confrontation of the wizardess and her false counterpart at the Song of Life Tavern. Other information can probably be obtained from the Knights, but they are keeping their mouths closed on this until the investigation is completed.
