Palanthas – The mysterious woman who appeared last week calling herself the Temptress was accosted today whilst leading a large gathering of new devotees through the Litany of Might.

According to several witnesses, a stranger dressed as a devotee of Zivilyn parted the sea of people and approached the Temptress. In his hand he held a weird looking compass and those gathered report he said to her, "You aren't supposed to be here."

"The stranger's words irritated Master Darkwind," said a young woman present at the gathering. "He stepped forward to defend the Temptress, but she dismissed his attempt. Then she stepped forth to stand eye to eye with the stranger."

"You aren't supposed to be here either Son of Zivilyn," the Temptress reportedly told the stranger. "I could burn you down in full view of these people, but that would not help me achieve my objective. Go back to your little boat and quit interfering in matters which do not concern you."

The crowd clamored for a fight but the stranger did not give them the satisfaction. He simply told the Temptress, "I am not prepared to fight you at the moment but I will return with those who will," then turned his back on her and walked away from the gathering.

Kryon Darkwin, Cleric of Takhisis and Caretaker of her Temple in Palanthas told the Herald, "The stranger crossed the line when he accosted the Temptress. Had my Lady allowed me the privilege of dealing with him; I would have snuffed out his life force in an instant. Obviously my Lady had other plans. Still, when the wretch returns I shall show him what it means to cross one of the Queen's Own."
