Hillfal – The Crimson Field Gladiator Arena is offering a series of new competitions between gladiators and common folk.

Lloyd Tyler known to locals as "The Butcher" and the owner of the Crimson Field has decide to allow weekly competitions between average ordinary people and trained gladiators, with a nice fat purse full of steel coins for the winner.

"I've been approached several times by people wanting to take on one of the crowd favorites of the Crimson Field. At first I was hesitant because I didn't want to be liable for anyone getting hurt. But after repeatedly being hassled about it, I've decided to allow it, besides it outta be fun to watch ordinary people get beat up."

Starting this coming Bracha, the competitions will begin at sundown. Two competitors will take on the team of professional gladiators in series of sporting events. The contender who amasses the most points will be declared the winner. The winner will earn the right to face a gladiator of his choice in single combat. The prize for defeating the gladiator is a purse of 5000 Redic Crowns.

Rumor has it that Tyler has recruited gladiators from all across Ansalon including a sivak draconian and at least one minotaur. The minotaur is reported to be five time minotaur champion Argos de Sokar.

Tyler has refused to confirm that Sokar is one of his gladiators, nor will he comment on any of the gladiators in his stable.

"That will be a surprise for any who chose to become contenders," says Tyler. "I'm sure you'll become familiar well enough with them all over the coming weeks. I will say this; the contenders had best be prepared to get knocked around – a lot!"

Anyone wishing to participate in the competition should inquire at the Shady Oak Inn, sign the waiver, and pay the entrance fee of 20 Steel Redic Crowns.
