Wizard's Conclave Denounces Attack on Academy of Sorcery

Wayreth – On Misham, the Wizard's Conclave issued a statement condemning the attack two weeks prior on the Academy of the Dragon Mage.

"The recent attack on the Academy of the Dragon Mage was not sanctioned by this Council," said Jenna of Palanthas, High Mage of the Conclave. "It was a singular act carried out by fundamentalist members within Orders and orchestrated by Matthias Iscariot of the Black Robes."

Jenna of Palanthas is the daughter of Justarius, former resident of Palanthas and head of the Orders until his death prior to the Chaos War. Jenna inherited Justarius's manor and his holdings within the city. She also owns the Three Moons mageware shop, but is perhaps most well known for her efforts at interceding with the Dark Knight's during their occupation of Palanthas.

"Iscariot is being sought by Orders and will be held responsible for his actions, as will the other participants in the attack," promised Jenna.

Iscariot has disappeared after the attack, as have several members of his flock. Sources within the Orders believe he and his followers are planning further assaults on the Academy of the Dragon Mage.

Iscariot is rumored to be part of a religious sect within the Orders of High Sorcery known as the Moon Disciples. The Moon Disciples are believed to fill the role of clergy for the Gods of Magic, whom do not have clerics of their own. Iscariot is said to be the Nightlord of Nuitari. The Orders will neither confirm nor deny these rumors, declining to even comment on them.

Representatives for the bronze dragon Crucible and the Academy of the Dragon Mage could not be reached for comment.
