Palanthas – Today on the steps of their shared estate, Lord and Lady Abercrombie announced they are splitting up.

Citing "Irreconcilable Differences" Lord and Lady Abercrombie today petitioned the Church of Shinare to nullify their union.

"I just can't take it any more," Lady Abercrombie told the Herald. "He works late nearly every night, or says he does. What he is really doing is hanging out at that damned "Gentlemen's Club," Oakhurst Manor. I know because several of my friends have seen him go there when he was supposed to be at work."

Oakhurst Manor is a private club located in the Trade Exchange district that caters only to men. Its membership is exclusive and allows only the upper crust of nobility to join. Some notable members of the club include Senator Revas Miramar, and Emperor James Markham himself.

In his defense Lord Abercrombie said, "Oakhurst Manor is a place to make business contacts. We go there to rest and conducted business deals. I can't help it if Elspeth feels left out, but neither can I take her incessant nagging."

Rumors abound about Oakhurst Manor, such as that it is secretly a religious cult masquerading as a legitimate organization. Other rumors claim it is a den of debauchery with scantily clad dancing girls where anything is available for the right price. Still other rumors insist it is run by the Thieves Guild. These are just hearsay though the members of the club are sworn to secrecy.

Representatives for Oakhurst Manor could not be reached for comment. The High Priestess of Shinare is expected to rule on the Abercrombie's request within a week.
