Editors Note:This is part two of our in depth investigation into some of the more notable crew members of the ghost ship, the Palanthas Star. Once again the Herald would like to thank the Aesthietics of the Great Library for their assistance with our investigation.
The following is an excerpt taken from A Naval History of Palanthas.
Azariin the Cursed
The wizard of the "Palanthas Star" was a very rare individual, a hobgoblin who had passed the test of High Sorcery. Abandoned as an infant for being horribly disfigured, Azariin was found by an elderly Mishakalite cleric. Raised through his early years in an isolated monastery, he had a very happy childhood, but fled when his adopted father died. Azariin had early on developed a dream of becoming a wizard, thanks to a passing red robe who had sought shelter within the monastery's walls one winter. Young disfigured Azariin found himself at best unwanted by the world and at the worst reviled and hunted. Eventually he accrued enough power and skill that the Towers who summoned him to undergo the Test. Azariin passed, emerging with the white robes of Solinari. Finding little acceptance amongst his fellow mages; he left seeking it elsewhere. Azariin was in Palanthas when he was attacked by a mob sure that was a witch sent from the Abyss. Captain Flynn took him into custody promising to see justice served. Soon after Azariin the Cursed seemingly an ordinary human white robe was hired as the seamage of the Palanthas Star.
There is nothing further in the histories written of Azariin. His story ends with the disappearance of the Palanthas Star
Azariin the Cursed.
