Woman Assaulted by Black Robe

Palanthas - Late Palast night, a woman was assaulted near the Shoikan Grove by a black-robed wizard.
Meredith Veela, 34, of Palanthas was returning home after a night of games at the house of her longtime friend Anatora Ferozi, retired Spokesperson of the Society of Arts and Artists. According to Veela it was a few minutes past Darkwatch, when she was left Ferozi's house. She told the Herald, "Normally I wouldn't walk that late at night; however after a game of Dragon's Bluff and several cocktails I wasn't exactly thinking clearly. That time of night it is impossible to find a carriage, so I walked. My path took me past the Shoikan Grove. I was just about to cross the street to avoid those cursed trees when I was grabbed from behind."
"I started to pleaded with him not to hurt me, that he could have anything he wanted, but he told me to "shut up". He questioned me about the grove wanting to know things like what had happened to his tower, why there weren't more wizards bustling about Palanthas, and other such gossip. I answered his questions as best I could. My answers must have angered him because he shoved me to the ground, then mumbled some mumbo jumbo, his hand crackled with electricity, then he pressed his hand to my face. My face started to burn and I screamed. He told, "Go! Tell all you see that Par-Salian the Black has returned to claim his dominion over all Solamnia." He disappeared back into the trees. That was the last I saw before I passed out."
Veela was found a short time later by a City Guard patrol. She was taken to the Halls of Healing where she was treated for severe electrical burns to her face. The City Guard performed a search of the area but turned up no trace of the black-robed wizard.
Veela described her attacker as being in his mid-sixties, about six feet tall, with a long white beard and hard black eyes. He was last seen dressed in black wizard robes with silver trim. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is advised to report it to the City Guard immediately.
