Kendermage Takes on New Duties; Sets out on World Tour
by Heine Stick, Staff Writer
Palanthas – Days after accepting new duties as a world-wide correspondent, Basil Kendermage, a longtime reporter for the Palanthas Herald, said goodbye to Palanthas.
Several days ago, it was announced that the Herald would be branching out and featuring news from other cities and that a correspondent would be needed to gather these stories. Kendermage is quoted as saying, "I have been feeling for quite some time now that Palanthas has become staid and boring. It's time for me to move on. By accepting the position Master Ravenmantle offered it will give me the chance to see new sights and continue to report for the Herald. I will miss all the friends I have made here in Palanthas, but the road beckons. I am going to see the world. Instead of just reporting on the news, I want to help make it."
H.S. Ravenmantle, co-founder of the Herald told this reporter, "While we will be sad to be losing such a great reporting talent on events here in Palanthas; we will be gaining a much clearer picture on what is happening outside these august walls. I have no doubt that Kendermage is the right man...er kender for the job. In his stead we have hired a very capable reporter to take up his duties here in Palanthas."
In a related story, the Cartographer's Guild of Palanthas has announced that it will mount an expedition to map the world of Krynn. The Herald's new World Correspondent, Kendermage is set to journey aboard the Wayfarer Atlas as it travels the world, reporting on the news as he encounters it.
