Blue Robe Sorcerer Reveals Shadow Tower
by Trampas Whiteman, Staff Writer
Palanthas – The mysterious Shadow Tower, which has not been seen in months, was revealed last Misham through the power of a sorcerer in blue robes and her dragon companion.
"We had not seen the tower for quite some time now," City Guard official Dalfin Reven said. "It troubles me that it would appear again, and that some other mage made it do so. Before, it had just disappeared when the Shadow Sorcerer wasn't seen. Now it won't go away."
According to witnesses, a sorceress in blue robes riding a silver dragon circled the Shoikan Grove area. She cast a spell that created several sparkles, which fell on the Shadow Tower, causing it to appear permanently. The sparkles remain, giving the tower the look of a starry sky. With that, the sorceress left the scene. Some witnesses claim that the dragon served as some sort of focus for the spellcasting, though these reports have not been confirmed.
"I was just having a pleasant walk wit' me babies when a huge shadow came over me," Marith Veir said. "I looked up and saw the lady in the blue robes on the dragon! She wore a mask with a design on it that I couldn't make out. She lifted the mask for a bit, looked over the tower once more, then just flew off! The lady and her dragon were a sight to see!"
"This is troubling," Red Robe historian Jaclyn Cashell said. "First we have a powerful sorcerer who can kill Black Robes. Everything seemed to be fine so long as the Shadow Tower was left alone. Now we have another sorcerer with a dragon as an ally who apparently is some sort of enemy of the Shadow Sorcerer! I fear that a war is about to start, and that the losers will be the people of Palanthas."
