Palanthas - Tanan Rimesmith, a merchant hailing from Neraka, was arrested yesterday and charged with three counts of selling illegal goods after the City Guard was made aware that Rimesmith was selling objects rumored to be dragon eggs on the black market.

"I can confirm that we've arrested Tanan Rimesmith on suspicion of the crimes you mention," said Captain Varil Helith of the City Guard. "Whether or not we're dealing with dragon eggs is something I cannot divulge at this point."

"We ask that everyone who has had dealings with Mr Rimesmith contact the City Guard with any goods they may have purchased from him. We guarantee that those who do will not get in trouble but if we find out that people have dealt with Mr Rimesmith and not told us about it, we will take action."

Belynda diCirian, local noblewoman confirmed that she had been contacted by Rimesmith. "Aye, he came to my home and showed me this strange egg-like thing. It was light brown with a coppery tint to it. He told me it was a dragon egg which would eventually result in a copper wyrmling. Naturally, I rejected his offer and contacted the City Guard immediately afterward."

The arrest of Rimesmith may be connected to an incident which took place last week in the Labyrinth. According to sources within the City Guard, five persons described as the "adventuring kind" were arrested after a brief skirmish with the City Guard after witnesses had overheard them bragging about slaying a copper dragon.
