Ancient Istaran Texts Put on Display
by Heine Stick, Staff Writer
Palanthas - This Linaras, the University of Palanthas will put some of its most well kept secrets on display – The Testaments of Gioridan. This will happen as part of the university's campaign to attract more students to the institution.
"We've had these texts for decades but for obvious reasons we've kept them to ourselves," said Chancellor Trepallas. "We feel that now is as good a time as ever to show these texts to the public since the Senate has cut part of our budget. We hope that the texts will inspire many to pursue a career as scholars."
According to the chancellor, the texts are genuine. "Yes, getting the texts happened by accident really. We had an expedition travelling through Nordmaar on a completely unrelated mission. Amazingly enough, the expedition stumbled upon an old ruin in which the texts were found. The texts are definitely Istaran. Gioridan, the author of the texts, was a Revered Son of Paladine during the reign of Istar and he wrote his memoirs. Legend has it that Gioridan was murdered because of what was written in those memoirs and the public will see why on Linaras. Very interesting stuff!"
The Memoirs of Gioridan will be available to the public for one week after which they will once again be moved to a secure location for further studies.
