Palanthas – A group of shipwrights was attacked yesterday by a white dragonspawn and a group of thugs.

The City Guard reports that Harlan Boatwright and his co-workers with the Shipwright's Guild were seeing to the repairs of the Windsister when the dragonman and several thugs rushed them. "We were on scaffolds with no place to go and that white dragonspawn took advantage of it," Boatwright told the Herald. "It breathed a cloud of ice at us, freezing me to the bone. It was so cold I couldn't move. The rest of my crew wasn't so lucky. I watched helplessly as the thugs knocked out several planks my crew and I had just fit to the hull. The creature then pointed a taloned finger at me, "Tell Maddilith Mer-Dane that Frost sends his regards." To emphasize his point he sliced the rudder chain with a single blow. Then he just left and I could move again. I tried to save my crew but it was too late for them."

Five apprentice shipwrights perished in the attack from instant and extreme hypothermia. Harlan Boatwright, a journeyman shipwright and only survivor was later treated by clerics from the Temple of Mishakal for minor frostbite.

Mer-Dane was later found surveying the damage. When asked for a comment, she replied, "My legal matters are going to have to wait. The important thing now is to get my ship fixed as quickly as possible then track down that slippery devil and put an end to him once and for all. At this juncture I am even considering the offer of the gnome to assist in the repairs"
