Thieves' Guild Takes From the Rich And Gives to the Needy
by Gaberial T. Cross, Staff Writer
Palanthas - It has recently come to the attention of the City Guard that certain members of the Thieves' Guild have been holding up higher end nobility as well as members of the Senate for large donations. According to Brent Grawfellow, captain of the City Guard, this in itself does not come as a surprise. However the members of the Thieves' Guild are insisting the large sums of money are to be donated not to their pockets but rather the pockets of the Church of Mishakal.
Grawfellow said that the City Guard is a little uneasy on how to proceed given the obvious benefits from what has been refered to by people wishing to remain anonymous as "acts of most generous kindness from the loving people of Palanthas."
"However, we are dealing with acts of crime and as such we must move to apprehend the guilty parties once we have located them," said Captain Grawfellow.
"It's nice to know in such economic and political times we can count on the citizens of our fair city to come through" quoted one member of the Senate. Deeper investigation revealed that the Thieves' Guild has been "strongly encouraging", as one member put it, for quite some time.
The Church of Mishakal remains unavailable for comment.
