Astral Dragon Files for Divorce

Palanthas - After more than nine eons of marriage, Pherones officially filed for divorce from Dioneces in the Palanthas Courthouse on Majetag, according to the office of Pherones's publicist, Stephen uth Huvaine.

Pherones's court papers cite irreconcilable differences for the split. The dragon, who had legally changed her name to Astral Dragon, also asked to have her former name restored, to Pherones. The two were married for 9000 years having more than ten children, 5 metallics, 5 chromatics, (all deceased) with a countless number of descendants. It was the first marriage for both.

Earlier this year, the dragons released a joint statement to The Herald, saying: "We would like to announce that after so many years together we have decided to formally separate. For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media. This decision is the result of much thoughtful consideration." They went on to say: "We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another. We ask in advance for your kindness and sensitivity in the coming months."

Dioneces met Pherones when they were set up on a dinner date in the Age of Starbirth. The pair kept their relationship under wraps for months, and eventually wed in a lavish ceremony in the Abyss sometime before 10,000 PC.

Rumors of a serious breakup in their relationship spread when it was reported that Dioneces was seen hand-in-hand with Takhisis without his gold chain just after the War of the Lance. This sent shockwaves through the dragon community, where the gold chain is a symbol for the dragons' love for each other, similar to wedding rings among mortals. Fortunately a group of adventurers had restored the gold chain and forced a reconciliation between the two. However, this seemed to be temporary as Pherones was seen alone in several parties in the Dragon Isles.
