Two days ago, a witness came forward, claiming he saw the man who shot Gaston Antiquitus. The witness, who prefers to remain anonymous, reported to the City Guard, "He was a tall man with long black hair, moustaches worn in the style worn by Solamnic Knights, and he also wore a patch over his left eye. He didn't even try to hide from me; he knew I was watching him, but my presence didn't seem to bother him. He put three bolts into the dead guy, no where near enough for that merchant's shady dealings if you ask me, and dropped his crossbow. As he turned around, to leave the area, he flashed something at me. I thought it looked like some sort of badge; However, I didn't get a good look at it."
Abraham Silvercrown, Captain of the City Guard, has recently be appointed to lead a taskforce formed by the Knights of Solamnia to investigate the mystery surrounding the Lineage Scrolls and how the death of Gaston Antiquitus and the one-eyed man are connected. "I cannot comment on the on-going investigation. What I can say is that we will find this one-eyed man and that anyone with information that may assist us in this purpose is urged to contact the City Guard," said Captain Silvercrown.
