Palanthas - Lug Fungupher was recognized for his leadership among the gully dwarves and their role in the noticeable drop in the rat population. "I knew hiring a gully dwarf would be a perfect fit for the job." said Silas Lionentias of the city's administration office. "It was a perfect marriage between this city's need and a known population of dwarves that most people don't want or understand."

"Me have fun chasing rats under city." said Lug "It like being home in Zakbear-Rot as a little Fungupher." When asked about his success. "We catch one and one and one and one and one rat everyday." as he held up two of his fingers.

"We believe the gully dwarves can be a important part of the community and contribute to its beauty." Mr. Lionentias broke in. Employing the gully dwarf was part of a new program designed to help control the growing population of gully dwarves that have come to the city since the occupation by the Dark Knighthood.

"Everyone has a role to play in society. Most people cast these poor creatures to the side. Sadly, dismissing them like annoying gnats. Right now we have about twenty gully dwarves working for us and we want to increase those numbers and look to employing more of Lug's clan."

When asked how the city was to reward the dwarves, Mr. Lionentias said that the clan would receive a small stipend of silver and a small home to house their clan in Lower Cluster. In addition, the city would have the Temple of Mishakal make regular visits to their home although those negotiations are still running.

"Catching rats can be risky business, including sickness and disease." Mr. Lionentias added. "With the recent epidemic in Palanthas, it's important that our rat catchers stay healthy."

"Plus rats make good stew!" said Lug. "We invite Silas to supper sometime."
