Vandal Apprehended in Old City Cemetery

Palanthas - A kender man was arrested Misham evening for looting tombs in the Old City Cemetery, said a spokesman for the City Watch.
Cemetery groundskeepers had recently reported numerous incidents of vandalized and broken open tombs in the Old City Cemetery, but had been unsuccessful in catching the culprit. While on his rounds early Misham evening groundskeeper Bertram DiCaela heard strange noises inside a crypt on the old side of the cemetery and a high-pitched voice apparently talking to itself.
"I didn't rightly know what was going on or what that voice was sayin', but I figured anyone who sits inside a tomb talkin' crazy to themselves must be a kender or a dark wizard," DiCaela said. "Turns out it was a kender, but I'd already called for the watch at that point."
When the City Watch arrived on the scene they found a kender man sitting atop an open coffin conversing with the skull of the deceased. A search of the kender's person revealed three pieces of jewelry later identified as belonging to the deceased and other pieces of jewelry that had recently been removed from other graves.
The kender insisted that he asked the deceased's permission before removing the items from the graves.
Thanator Grave-Eyes, 23, has been charged with four counts of grave robbery and six counts of vandalism.
