Here and There Has Sold Its Last Map

Palanthas - This Linaras saw one of Palanthas' finest businesses close its doors for the last time. Here and There – Maps for Land and Sea has sold its last map.

"Of course I'm sad!" exclaimed Here and There owner Wes Songline when asked how he felt about closing his business. "Making maps and selling them has been my life for the better part of 50 years. And cartography has been a reminder of my adventuring days when my friends and I traveled the length of Ansalon and beyond. So I'm not only saying goodbye to my shop. I'm saying goodbye to a defining part of my life as well!"

"But you see, I'm getting too old. My eyes fail me and my hands shake so much that drawing maps has become impossible. So I've decided to call it a day and retire. I've saved some steel and I should be able to live out the remainder of my life in peace and quiet somewhere."

Here and There – Maps for Land and Sea will surely be missed by the Aesthetics as well as the many customers who purchased their maps at the shop which is little more than a shack. It was here that the Aesthetics resupplied when the legendary Astinus vanished with his collection of atlases.

"Wes'll be missed. He ran a solid business and never shied away from a nice chat as well," said brother Tyilor Ghora of the Library of Palanthas. "He was a huge help when Astinus vanished and he has become a great friend to many of us. I wish Wes all the best and I hope he'll stop by the Library from time to time!"

According to Wes Songline the business will not be carried on by anyone else. He has no family who can take over where he left and no one has contacted him with a offer to buy his collection of maps.
