Rendleham Wins Project Approval
by Kendermage, Staff Writer
Mt. Nevermind – This past Majetag, the Gnomish Astronomers Guild finally approved overwhelmingly to fund an expedition to Southern Ergoth to investigate reports of a strange phenomenon which occurred 50 years ago, a phenomenon widely believed to have been a meteor although the Guild has not ruled out another unidentified object. The matter was first brought to the attention of the Gnomish Astronomers Guild nearly 50 years ago. The matter has been tied up in committee due to lack of proper paper work being completed.
The son of Rendelsham the XIII, Rendelsham the XIV, has kept alive his father's petition and lifequest. At least once per day for the last 50 years he visited the Astronomers Guild to inquire as to the status of his application. This week it finally won approval from the Committee.
Buzz Wedge, head of the Aeronautics & Astronomers Guild is quoted as saying: "For years we have been treated to daily doses of rumors regarding this supposed craft and others like it. According to our records no such vessel is listed as having traveled to Southern Ergoth during the time period in question. We are funding this expedition to put a rest to all the rumors, pardon the expression, buzzing around Mt. Nevermind. Now that Rendelsham the XIVs project has been approved we can start to focus on more important tasks like figuring out where the Ruby Star went."
After the session Rendelsham the XIV wasted no time in leaving the Guild Hall brushing past this reporter and muttering "Have to get my team together. Have to buy supplies."
