Song of Life Remodeling Complete
by Trampas Whiteman, Staff Writer
PALANTHAS – The Song of Life celebrates its grand re-opening this week, in time for celebration of Yule. As previously reported, the Song of Life has had a number of bards seeking training of late, as well as a higher patronage that is attributed to the departure of the Knights of Neraka.
"I can't say how pleased I am," high priest Astin Locastus said. "The place is just beautiful. The new design was based on the old temple of Branchala that once stood where the tavern is now. We wanted to pay tribute to the temple while still maintaining the atmosphere you've come to expect."
The remodeled tavern now includes stain-glass doors and windows, ivy decorations, and a massive dome. Music can be heard in the street, with clapping and dancing both in and out of the doors.
"I think Palanthas really needs this," Locastus said. "After all those years of being under the oppression of the Knights of Neraka, people need something to smile about."
