Elderly Seamstress Turns Twenty
by Heine Stick, Staff Writer
Palanthas - Marsha Gionnal is evidence that miracles do happen. The 99-year-old retired seamstress from Purple Ridge has suffered from severe arthritis for the better part of twenty years and has not been able to walk properly for years. Until yesterday that is. Now she is beating the youngsters of the neighborhood in sprinting contests and bouts of strength. She has been seen dancing around like a young lass in love.
"It's amazing! My mom's jumping around and laughing as if she was a young woman of twenty summers!" said Milon Gionnal, the son of Mrs Gionnal. "I don't understand it though. When last I visited her she spoke about death and how she was ready for it. She even told us what she wanted to stand on her gravestone. And now she's talking about taking up the seamstress vocation once more."
This strange occurrence has put the neighborhood on the other end. Neighbors visit Mrs Gionnal in the hopes that her sudden rejuvenation will rub off on them. "I'm here to see it with my own eyes," one woman stated. "Of course I wouldn't mind it if I woke up tomorrow feeling like a twenty-year-old."
The Herald has tried to get a comment from Mrs Gionnal herself but she has declined, stating simply that she would rather just be left alone. Whatever has happened to the elderly seamstress remains a mystery but it seems clear that some supernatural force has been involved. It seems equally clear that Mrs Gionnal will be bombarded with questions and inquiries and that some people will try to use this phenomenon to their advantage.
