Herald to perform at Grand Opening of Miller's Tavern
by Trampas Whiteman, Staff Writer
PALANTHAS – Miller's Tavern will be holding its grand opening on Bakukal. The new tavern boasts of being a place of "food, friends, and fun".
"We're working with some great local talents. We have an open call to local bards to perform. This way, we not only draw in the crowd, we support local performers. We're really excited to have the Herald for our opening night," tavern owner Miral Miller said.
"The Herald's style is unmistakable. He claims that the memories of Krynn are his. Though this is probably just show, I think there's a hint of truth behind it. He certainly seems to know Krynn's history through and through," a local bard said.
The Herald was met with controversy lately at his performance in Pashin. Telling the tale of the War of Souls, he portrayed the Knights of Neraka in a negative tone that incited a riot. A group of adventurers were on the scene to help restore order. Charges were not pressed against the Herald, though it was recommended that he leave Pashin for his own safety.
Despite this controversy, Miller's Tavern is still anticipating a large crowd. "What performer hasn't been met with controversy? If the Dark Knights are offended by the truth, that's their problem. This is the Herald we're talking about here. This guy is the very spirit of Krynn. Once the people of Palanthas hears his performance, nobody will even remember or care what happened half a continent away."
The performance is set to begin at 7:00 pm.
