Patrick and his wife Galena originated from the town of New Ports, however they left for Schallsea in the early part of the Age of Mortals, to follow in the teachings of Goldmoon. The pair then became mystics at the Citadel of Light. However following the return of the gods at the end of the War of Souls, Patrick and his wife Galena were visited in a dream by Mishakal. The couple then made the decision to become clerics of the goddess of healing and to return to New Ports where they opened up a school to help the children of the town, and to do good where they could.

In 422 AC, Galena and her husband rendered aid to Rhys Mason and Nightshade Pricklypear in defeating Lleu Mason, who had become one of the Beloved of Chemosh.
