Emma's Flame is the first Wild Sorcery spell that combined more than one of the Realms of Sorcery, namely Enhancement and Pyromancy. It was created by Emma Xela, a prodigy at the Academy of Sorcery during the years preceding the War of Souls.
The spell imbues an item (typically a type of weapon, typically made of steel) to ignite in sorcerous flame whenever a specific action is performed on it. In its original incarnation, the flame lit whenever a woman wielded the enchanted sword. Since that time, the application has expanded to both genders, as well as a variety of weapons and circumstances to ignite the flame.
