Trail Marker

Article written by trogers81

In the southern passes of the Vingaard Mountains, travelers easily lost their way. To prevent that from occurring, trail markers were carved into the base of a tree. The trail marker consisted of a carved symbol surrounded by a certain number of dots. These dots signified how many miles to the next trade post.
