Corilanthas is a young Qualinesti elf with sandy-blonde hair, a fair complexion, and blue eyes. He is very seriously minded and highly educated. Though he is devoted to Solinari, he pays homage to all the gods of Good. Corilanthas believes that Wild Sorcery is anathema to the moon gods, and he considers its use to be blasphemy. Corilanthas hates draconians and will do everything in his power to kill any draconian he comes across.
Corilanthas grew up in Qualinost, but found himself evacuating when Beryl attacked. Though he wasn't a warrior, he volunteered to stay behind to defend the city. During the attack, a draconian in Beryl's service slit the throat of his lover, Eriyani, days before their wedding. He vowed, that if he were to live past the horrid attack, he would destroy any draconian he came across.
Corilanthas became part of the elven diaspora that led out of Qualinesti, and eventually in exile alongside the Silvanesti in the deserts of Khur. Corilanthas stayed with the elven exiles who settled down in Pashin, where he met an aged Silvanesti elf named Shelias. Corilanthas took pity on Shelias, aiding the ancient elf, who suffered from the sunblight. Shelias saw something in Corilanthas he had not seen since before the Age of Mortals - the potential to become one of Solinari's chosen. Shelias began instructing Corilanthas in the ways of a wizard, focusing on the school of abjuration. Moreso, Shelias instructed Corilanthas on the gods of Good, especially Solinari. Corilanthas took right to the study, and began the path that would lead to becoming a moon disciple.
When the sunblight overcame Shelias, Corilanthas was saddened, having lost another that he loved in so short of a time. He has vowed to do what he can to continue his studies and to become a Disciple of White Sorcery.
Ivo, cat familiar:
Ivo is thin and sleek with black fur and yellow eyes. When the two walk, Ivo rides on Corilanthas' shoulders. Ivo has a disconcerting habit of staring intently at whatever person is speaking, almost as if he could understand what that person is saying.
