Description:Stasia has brick red hair, which is usually braided with wild flowers, and emerald green eyes that flicker with a sense of both wonder and insight. She most commonly wears a rose red shirt under a pine green vest with violet pants and turquoise boots. However, anything she wears is always dyed in shades of nature, mostly in the colors of her favorite plants. She never wears dark colors such as brown, gray, or black. Her buckler, a gift from an Ergothian blacksmith (or so she claims), is decorated with a wreath of flowers around the edge and a large rose in the center. The dagger she carries was given to her by Lady Silverblade of Castle Eastwatch and bears a kingfisher's wings as the crossguard as well as a rose engraved around and ending at the base of the hilt. Background:Stasia was a young kender maid when her homeland of Kendermore was taken by Malystryx. Although both of her parents became afflicted, Stasia remained mostly chipper. She now plants flowers (the seeds carried in several of her pouches) wherever she goes in memory of her once verdant homeland. In fact, Stasia has something of a natural talent in Animism; her flowers often sprout within hours of her planting them. Stasia's travels eventually led her to Port Balifor. One day, she was overseen using her mystic powers to cause a plant to grow by the elderly Steel Legionnaire, Gerrard Deathcheater (so called due to several close calls with death). Gerrard took her on as his apprentice, teaching her the full potential of her mystic powers, including a knack for healing others. As the time came for Stasia to take her Test and become a Legionnaire, she grew bored with the idea of a life of service to the Legion, and left without word to Gerrard. Her travels eventually led to the Desolation and to the ruins of Kendermore. The sight broke her down into tears, and she longed for the comfort of her friend Gerrard. She returned to Port Balifor, only to find that Gerrard had cheated death for the last time. He had succumbed to illness and passed away in the middle of the night, never to wake again. Stasia was convinced that she could have saved Gerrard had she been there. She had forgotten the Legion mantra - "All we have is each other." Stasia was forever changed with Gerrard's death. She has since re-dedicated herself to the Legion of Steel, and has worked closely with Blight Thistleknot in his efforts to reclaim Kendermore and to restore the Desolation to its natural state. In Your Campaign:Stasia can function as a guide to the Desolation, and can replace the Kagonesti scout from Key of Destiny. If the DM so desires, she can be found wandering Ansalon on a mission from the Legion of Steel, working to restore Ansalon to its natural state.
