Description:

Daviter stands at 6'1" and weighs 250 pounds. His dark hair and beard frame a calm face with few wrinkles. Daviter is 32 years old. He carries himself with a proud gait, a sign of his noble heritage. Though he is a Knight of Solamnia, he seldom looks the part, wearing banded mail, carrying a battle axe, and growing a full beard in place of a Solamnic mustache.

Daviter is quite thoughtful and call tell much about a person from a first meeting. Daviter is a diplomat at heart, and has done well in his quest to promote and support the Knights of Solamnia with other peoples of Ansalon.

Background:

Daviter is a veteran knight from the War of the Lance, along with his friends Kimmil and Steveck uth Drastin. He distinguished himself in several battles, though his deeds are largely unsung. Daviter has worked on rebuilding the Knighthood since the war and has sought to repair its reputation. Along with his horse, Happy, he can be seen traveling almost anywhere in Ansalon, especially in Solamnia.

Daviter has convinced Steveck to join the Knights of Solamnia. Steveck's ancestor, Drastin, had broken away from the Knights of Solamnia centuries ago to form the Order of the Gold Lance in hopes of providing a viable alternative to the Knights of Solamnia. Daviter felt that the division had lasted long enough, and so he invited Steveck to join the Knighthood. Steveck agreed only on the condition that he be allowed to teach the alternate training techniques of the Gold Lancers. Through Daviter's diplomatic skills, the Knighthood agreed that Steveck could command a company of 12 knights and 50 men at Castle Drastin. Daviter invited Kimmil to join as well. Daviter has grown to love Kimmil, though he hasn't told her yet.

Daviter, Steveck, and Kimmil are the current leaders of the Gold Lancers and seek to maintain a presence along the Solamnic frontier..

In Your Campaign:

Daviter can be used in a variety of ways, though he should always come across as diplomatic. Daviter can make for a good NPC who can help a player character join the Knights of Solamnia. He also serves as a good military commander for the Gold Lancers. Daviter can be a wise sage who offers the player characters advice. He should always appear thoughtful when he does so.
