Description:

Selowen is a beautiful young elven maiden with shoulder-length brown hair, bright green eyes, and an almost shy smile. She is slender and graceful, as are all elves, and dresses in fine-quality white robes. She accents her white robes with green and peach floral designs.

Attitudes:

Selowen is a warm and generous person. She is outwardly shy, but is a fine conversationalist once she gets to know a person. She has a bubbling laugh. She gets along well with dwarves in particular, and shows them great respect. She cares greatly for her mentor, Rikar, and has become his star pupil and a good friend. She is worried about her half-sister, Jilani, who has decided to take up the magic of sorcery.

Background:

Selowen grew up in Qualinost, and was acquainted with Flint Fireforge in the years prior to the War of the Lance. She remembers fondly playing with wooden toys he would carve. During the War of the Lance, her family moved to Hillhome to work closely with the hill dwarves and gather information to send back to Qualinost. While living in Hillhome, Selowen became fast friends with the Fireforge family, especially Obsidian Fireforge.

Selowen's parents left one day on a scouting mission along with several dwarf guards. It was discovered later that they had been killed by draconians. Selowen mourned for some time, but knew that her life must continue. To help her over her grief, Obsidian Fireforge invited her along for an adventure to find "Uncle Flint's" legendary lost battle axe. Selowen joined the group of adventurers and met the minotaur wizard, Rikar.

Selowen had already studied magic for several years under her father. She keeps her magic use limited in Hillhome, as dwarves disdain its use. She became Rikar's apprentice, and eventually took the Test of High Sorcery, which she does not talk about.

During the years following the Chaos War, Selowen had taken up the art of Wild Sorcery. Though she had a talent for it, she longed for the days of being a White Robe. After the War of Souls, the power returned, and she vowed to never use Wild Sorcery again. Her half-sister, Jilani (born from an affair between her father and a Plainsman woman), has taken up the art of Wild Sorcery, which troubles Selowen. She thinks her half-sister will be okay, but keeps tabs on her to make sure. She works with Rikar, helping to bring back the glory of the Wizards of High Sorcery.
