The All-Seeing Eye of Gran-Tac-Mel

This perfect sphere of an unknown gemstone is black as night, the darkness within is constantly swirling under its surface, it is a ghastly fake eye that resizes to the eye socket of its wielder, but requires the permanent loss of one of their eyes. A creation of the Gnomish black robe Gran-Tac-Mel, during his test his body was horribly scarred and disfigured and he lost one of his eyes, he created this as a replacement with the aid of a Mishakite who pitied him.

Whomever this item is implanted into gains the following spell-like abilities (note the caster level for each effect):

  • 5/day: detect poison (CL 1)
  • 3/day: detect chaos, detect evil, detect good, detect law, detect undead (CL 1)
  • 2/day: darkvision, ebon eyes, see invisibility (CL 3)

The Headband Of Gran-Tac-Mel

This band is one and a half inches wide and adjusts to fit tightly around the wearers brow, it is made from tanned green dragon hide and has small silver rectangles riveted into its surface, each of which has a small black gem in its centre. Gran-Tac-Mel is a gnomish wizard who joined the orders after the War of Souls. He caused much debate in the Conclave as he was not only the first gnome to pass the test, but he was a transmuter/illusionist and joined the Order of the Black.

The headband provides the following bonuses to its wearer:

  • +6 enhancement bonus to intelligence
  • wearer is continually immune to detect thoughts, discern lies and any attempt to magically discern their alignment
  • Wearer is able to prepare double his base number of first-level wizard spells per day
  • If wearer is evil then they are continually under effect of a protection from good spell, a good wearer gains no similar effect
  • The wearer constantly sees as if under the effect of detect magic, this does not require concentration.

This item will only grant its powers to a [Lawful] wearer, and to gain full use of this item you must be a Lawful Evil Wizard.
