Capsize (Ex): Bloodtide has a 95% chance to capsize a boat or ship 20 ft long or less by surfacing beneath it. This chance is reduced to 50% if the vessel is between 20 ft and 60 ft, and is reduced down to 20% for vessels longer than 60 ft.
Clinging Breath (Ex): Bloodtide can choose to make her breath weapon deal additional damage on the next round to all creatures or objects that were affected by it. This additional damage is equal to half the damage dealt in the first round and forces those affected to make another save against her breath weapon (DC 29, half). The time in between uses of Bloodtide's breath weapon increases +1 round when she uses clinging breath.

God's Decree (Su): Once per year, Bloodtide must grant a miracle to the first elf that she sees. She casts this as a 20th level spellcaster.

Bloodtide is a god-cursed dragon. She and her brood, laired off of the Silvanesti coast years before the Cataclysm struck. Bloodtide returned from a hunt to find that all of her brood had been killed. Believing that the elves of nearby Silvanesti were to blame, she immediately set out to take her revenge. She came first to the small elven fishing village of Riggirock, where she killed all but a handful of the elves before the priest of E'li called upon his god for protection against the enraged dragon's attack.
E'li (Paladine) and the Gods of Good heard the elven priest's cry for aid and they placed a divine curse on to Bloodtide. The Gods decreed that Bloodtide would know no rest until she had atoned for the cruel murder of the elven village, she would be forced to roam the seas for as many years as the total years of all those that she wantonly slaughtered, and that she would be drawn back to the site once a year to bestow a divine miracle on to the first elf that she saw on the day of the New Year.
Bloodtide has swum the seas of Krynn ever since then, forced to pay the price of a moment of grief and madness.

God's Decree (Su): Once per year, Bloodtide must grant a miracle to the first elf that she sees. She casts this as a 20th level spellcaster.

With the theft of the world, and the loss of the True Gods, Bloodtide believed her deliverance was at hand. No longer would she be the pawn of the Gods of Good, and in the new age, the Age of Mortals, she might find the peace that had been denied to her for so many years.

Unfortunately such was not to happen. In the first few years since the beginning of the new age, a number of alien dragons had discovered Krynn and had begun to battle with the native dragons, with the victor consuming the losers essence. Such was the fate for Bloodtide. She came to the attention of Brynseldimer (Brine), and the two dragons fought a deadly battle in the seas off of the sunkern lands of Dimernesti. Brine won and killed Bloodtide.

Bloodtide could not progress on to whatever lay beyond the Gate of Souls due to the machinations of Takhisis, the so-called One God. Takhisis had stolen the world from its place in the heavens, blocking the Gate of Souls to those slain. Unable to leave, Takhisis forced Bloodtide, like many other spirits, into stealing magic for her.

Even with the demise of Takhisis' plan, life and the return of the True Gods, Bloodtide failed to find any rest. Before she could pass into the Beyond, the divine curse laid upon her by the gods brought her back to Krynn in the form of an undead – a spirit dragon.
