Legion Barmaid

The Legion of Steel has agents across Ansalon, working both openly and in a covert fashion. Some operatives work in specialized covert positions where they can gather knowledge, and put a stop to the machinations of evil before they begin. Working in the seedier districts of Ansalon's cities are the Legion Barmaids.

The Legion Barmaids are the unsung heroes of the Legion of Steel, using their feminine wiles to the advantage of the Legion of Steel. The Legion of Steel keeps tabs on adventurers across Ansalon through their Legion Barmaids. After all, an adventure, whether for good or for ill, often begins in a tavern. Legion Barmaids are able to use their skills with drink and natural charm to gather information that otherwise would not be possible.

Requirements

Gender: Female
Skills: Profession (Barmaid) 8 ranks, Balance 2 ranks, Diplomacy 2 ranks, Bluff 2 ranks.
Feats: Dodge, Endurance
Special: Must be a member in good standing of the Legion of Steel and also have worked as a barmaid for at least 3 weeks at a tavern or other house of ales.

Class Skills:

Balance, Bluff, Craft, Diplomacy, Handle Animal, Knowledge (Local), Knowledge (History), Perform, Profession, Ride, Sleight of Hand, Use Rope, Use Magic Device.

Skill points per level: 4 + Int Mod.

Class Features:

Legacy's Thirst (Su): At 1st level, once per hour, the Legion Barmaid can provoke severe thirst in a subject unless it succeeds at a (DC 10 + Barmaid's Charisma modifier + 1/2 Barmaid's class level) Will save. Failure imposes a -1 Legionnaire penalty on all the subject's attack rolls. The Barmaid must make a successful touch attack against the subject in order to use this ability. Legacy's Thirst lasts for 2 rounds plus 1 round per combined Legion of Steel prestige class level. This is a mind effecting ability. Creatures that have no need to eat are immune to the effects of Legacy's Thirst.

Legacy's Hunger (Su): At 2nd level, once per hour, the Legion Barmaid can amplify a subject's need to consume food. The subject must make a (DC 10 + Barmaid's Charisma modifier + 1/2 Barmaid's class level) will save or gain a -2 Barmaid penalty to all skill checks and attack rolls. The Barmaid must make a successful touch attack against the subject in order to use this ability. Legacy's Hunger lasts for 2 rounds plus 1 round per combined Legion of Steel prestige class level. This is a mind effecting ability. Creatures that have no need to eat are immune to the effects of Legacy's Hunger.

Legacy's Hangover (Su): At 3rd level, once per day, the Legion Barmaid can amplify a subject's hangover. The subject must make a (DC 10 + Barmaid's Charisma modifier + 1/2 Barmaid's class level) will save or become exhausted, nauseated, and sickened. The Barmaid can affect any target to which she has given an alcoholic beverage or used Legacy's Hunger or Legacy's Thirst on in the past 24 hours. This ability lasts for 1 hour plus 1 hour per combined Legion of Steel prestige class level. This is a mind effecting ability. Creatures that have no need to eat are effected by this ability unless they are immune to all the conditions it causes.

Legacy's Bad Hookup (Su): At 4th level, once per day, the Legion Barmaid can cause two characters (to whom she has served alcohol or used any other Legion Barmaid ability on within 24 hours) to decide that it would be a good idea to go have some quick drunken hanky-panky. The targets must both be of the same sexual orientation and must be of the same race in order for this ability to work. If the ability is used on a non-compatible pair of targets, the use of the ability is not wasted for the day. This is a mind effecting, compulsion effect. Some Barmaids call this ability "The Kitiara and Sturm Effect".

Legacy's Ultimate Price (Su): At 5th level, once per day, the Legion Barmaid can for a subject to make a (DC 10 + Barmaid's Charisma modifier) will save or suffer the effects of a feeblemind spell. Treat the Barmaid's caster level as (10 + Combined Legion of Steel prestige class levels) for the duration of the effect. This is a mind effecting ability. This ability only functions on subject whom the Barmaid has served alcohol or used any other Legion Barmaid ability upon within the last 24 hours.
