Purifier (Druid)

The Purifiers are a group of nomads who seek to restore Krynn to its natural beauty. They oppose all those who would seek to warp or destroy the natural setting of any landscape, from the dragon overlords to the natural talents of the elven woodshapers. Purifiers see themselves as the ultimate champions of Chislev. Harming Krynn's environment in any way provokes rage from the purifier that rivals a half-ogre's bloodlust.

Purifiers are cold and heartless to those who prefer civilized life, especially pampered nobles and rich merchants. They believe that people would be better off communing with nature, rather than hiding away from the beauty of Krynn. The most extreme among their number believe that the world would be better off with fewer people in it altogether. Purifiers are cold and arrogant to strangers, showing little regard to others' beliefs and feelings. They prefer their distance, often associating only with other Purifiers.

Requirements:

To take a Purifier substitution level, a character must be a member of the Purifiers, have Chislev as his patron deity, and be about to take his 4th, 9th, or 13th level of druid.

Class Skills:

Purifier substitution levels have the class skills of the standard druid class plus Knowledge (religion).

Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier.

Class Features:

All of the following are features of the Purifier substitution levels.

Nature's Friend, Man's Bane (Ex): Purifiers are more comfortable with the animals of the wild than they are with civilized races. They gain a +2 bonus to all Handle Animal checks, but a -2 penalty to all Diplomacy and other Charisma-based checks with civilized races.

Woodland Stealth (Ex): The Purifier can move through natural environments with the sound of a whisper. The Purifier adds his Wisdom modifier to all Hide and Move Silently checks while in a natural environment.

These abilities replaces the standard druid's Resist Nature's Lure ability at 4th level.

Nature's Wrath (Ex): The Purifier may rage as a barbarian once per day at 9th level. This ability increases to twice a day at 13th level. If this ability is not taken at 9th level, then it can be used only once a day at 13th level.

This ability replaces the standard druid's Venom Immunity ability at 9th level and A Thousand Faces ability at 13th level.
