Defender of the Six Dark Curses
D&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rules
The Pantheon of Darkness revels in the depths of depravity mortals can achieve. In order to promote and defend such depravity the Gods of Darkness created a special order, The Defenders of the Six Dark Curses. Each God of Darkness, save Nuiatari, the god of dark magic, sponsors a specific dark curse. Takhisis, whose overbearing belief in her own worth supports Pride. Sargonas, whose rage knows no bounds promotes Wrath. Their wild and tempestous daughter, Zeboim delights in the depths of Lust. Brooding and slow to act, like some of his servants, Chemosh, supports Sloth in the world. Greed is the domain and joy of Hiddukel, the Prince of Lies. Morgion promotes Gluttony as a means to spread disease and filth.
The ranks of the Defenders of the Six Dark Curses are usually filled with clerics of each dark god. On occassion, blackguards, dark mystics, wrathful avengers, evil rangers and evil druids also take the path of a Defender of the Six Dark Curses. Sometimes a divine caster will also take the path of a Defender of the Six Dark Curses after having taking some combat inclined class like fighter or monk. Knights of the Skull that have claimed a dark patron are also common in the ranks of the Defenders of the Six Dark Curses.
A Defender of the Six Dark Curses will usually adopt the name of the bonus domain he gains. A Defender of the Six Dark Curses with Takhisis would be known as a Defender of Pride.
Alignment: Must match alignment of patron deity exactly.
The Defender of the Six Dark Curses' class skills are Concentration (Con), Diplomacy (Cha), Knowledge (arcana, religion, the planes) (Int), and Spellcraft (Int). A Defender of the Six Dark Curses also gains one bonus class skill dependent on her patron deity (see chart below).
Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier.
All of the following are class features of the Defender of the Six Dark Curses prestige class.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Defender of the Six Dark Curses gains no proficiency with any weapon, armor or shield.
Bonus Domain: A Defender of the Six Dark Curses gains a bonus domain appropriate to her patron deity starting at first level (see chart below).
Bonus Feat: At 2nd level, a Defender of the Six Dark Curses gains a bonus feat based on her patron deity (see chart below).
Rebuke Undead (Su): At 3rd level, a Defender of the Six Dark Curses can rebuke undead as a cleric of her class level minus two. If she possesses the rebuke undead ability from another class, she may add her Defender of the Six Dark Curses level minus two to her effective cleric level.
Defiled Charisma (Su): At 4th level, a Defender of the Six Dark Curses receives a +2 profane bonus on all Charisma-based checks involving creatures or persons of any evil alignment. If the person/creature has class levels in a divine spellcasting class or has the outsider type and is of any evil alignment, the bonus increases to +4.
Bonus Domain Slot: At 5th level, a Defender of the Six Dark Curses may memorize an extra domain spell of each spell level per day. If the Defender of the Six Dark Curses has levels in cleric, this means that she may now have two domain spell slots per spell level. If she is not a cleric, then she gains a domain spell slot, which she can use to prepare or cast a spell of her domain. If a character has more than one domain, she may choose to use the extra domain slot for any of her domain spells.
