D&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rules
The wood shapers are elves who love nature, but what they love the most are the forests. A wood shaper understands why it is important to settle within the forest and so he uses his magic to settle in the forest and not harm the trees, but to reshape them as true beauty.
Wood shapers are well known in Silvanesti and Qualinesti for their arts, which they use to build their villages.
To qualify to become a wood shaper, a character must fulfill all the following criteria:
Race: Elf or half-elf of Qualinesti or Silvanesti descent.
The wood shaper's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Knowledge (arcana) (Int), Knowledge (nature) (Int), Profession (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), and Survival (Wis).
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A wood shaper gains no weapon or armor proficiencies.
Wood Spells: A wood shaper learns additional spells as he increases in level. If the wood shaper cannot cast spells of the appropriate spell level, he does not gain access to those spells.

At 3rd level, the wood shaper learns the following spells: control plants (as a 3rd-level spell); awaken (trees only), tree stride, wall of thorns (as 4th-level spells); ironwood, repel wood (as 5th-level spells).
At 5th level, the wood shaper learns the following spells: changestaff, transmute metal to wood (as 6th-level spells); command plants (as a 7th-level spell).
Love for the Living: The wood shaper is so connected to the forests that he refrains from using necromancy spells, as well as spells with the fire descriptor.
Wood Spells Adept (Ex): The wood shaper casts all wood spells as if he were one level higher.
Wood Spells Mastery (Ex): The wood shaper casts all wood spells as if he were two levels higher.
Ex-Wood Shapers: Wood shapers who cause harm to non-hostile plants or who harm plants with evil intentions are considered ex-wood shapers and the following changes are made:
