Warrior of the Bloody Condor
D&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rules
The Cult of the Bloody Condor is an organization devoted to the reestablishment of an elven homeland, at any cost. To this end, they've turned to Sargonnas as their patron, and sworn vengeance toward those races that have driven them from their former homes.
Warriors of the Bloody Condor are elves whose desperate situation has driven them to turn toward evil to gain what is rightfully theirs. They are dedicated to their dark god, as he has given them a means to achieve what the gods of Good could not protect. They are savage, fierce warriors. Fighters, rangers, and rogues are most likely to join the Bloody Condor Warriors. Clerics often find that the combat advantages complement their prayers to Sargonnas. Barbarian Kagonesti are becoming interested in this cult as well. Other classes are rare.
To qualify to become a Warrior of the Bloody Condor, a character must fulfill all of the following criteria.
Race: Qualinesti, Silvanesti, or Kagonesti elf (half-elves also available at the DM's option).
The Warrior of the Bloody Condor's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Climb (Str), Hide (Dex), Jump (Str), Knowledge (religion) (Int), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Ride (Dex), Search (Int), Spot (Wis), and Swim (Str).
All of the following are class features of the Warrior of the Bloody Condor prestige class.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Warriors of the Bloody Condor are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, with light and medium armor, and shields (including tower shields).
Sneak Attack: As the rogue ability of the same name. If the Bloody Condor receives a sneak attack ability from another source, the effects stack.
Sworn Enemy (Ex): At 1st level, the Bloody Condor declares a sworn enemy. This enemy must be one of those races or groups that has conquered an elven homeland. Qualinesti elves must choose goblins or Knights of Neraka, Silvanesti elves may choose minotaurs or Knights of Neraka, and Kagonesti elves may choose either ogres, or white dragons (including white dragonspawn). The Bloody Condor receives a +2 bonus to Bluff, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, and Survival checks when using these skills against the chosen foe. Furthermore, he receives a +2 bonus on weapon damage rolls against said enemy. These bonuses stack with any similar bonuses, such as those gained from a ranger's favored enemy. This bonus increases by +2 at level 5, and again at level 9. The Bloody Condor may not choose additional sworn enemies - all bonuses gained from this class apply to a single type of sworn enemy.
Vengeful Strike (Su): At 3rd level, the Bloody Condor gains the ability to make a single devastating attack against someone who has wronged him. Once per day, the Bloody Condor may make a single attack against his sworn enemy. The vengeful strike must be declared prior to making the attack roll, and if the attack roll fails, the ability is expended for the day. If the ability is used against a creature who is not the Bloody Condor's sworn enemy (such as a doppleganger or a shapechanged Sivak), the ability is wasted.
If the attack succeeds, the Bloody Condor may add his class level to his weapon damage. This ability may be used twice per day at 6th level, and three times per day at 9th level.
Diehard (Ex): The Bloody Condor is so devoted to his cause that he refuses to die before expending every ounce of strength. The Bloody Condor receives the Diehard feat as a bonus feat, even if he does not have the appropriate prerequisites.
Brutal Display (Ex): Bloody Condors fight with a passion that few have seen from the elven race on a battlefield. The brutality of the Bloody Condor toward his sworn enemy is shocking toward those who witness it. Whenever the Bloody Condor kills a sworn enemy either through the use of a sneak attack, or a coup de grace, any members of the Bloody Condor's sworn enemy who witness the display must succeed at a Will save (DC 10 + the Bloody Condor's class level) or become shaken for a number of rounds equal to 1 + the Bloody Condor's Charisma modifier (minimum of 1 round). Furthermore, the Bloody Condor receives his sworn enemy bonus on Intimidate checks against sworn enemies who witnessed the display, regardless of their Will save results.
Wrathful Disdain (Su): A 10th-level Bloody Condor's hate and drive for vengeance is so strong that, once per day, he may choose one effect from a sworn enemy - damage, spell, or another effect - and completely ignore it. If the Bloody Condor is aware of the attack or effect and is not flat-footed, he may call upon Sargonnas to protect him. The resulting attack or effect is completely ignored.
