Ancient Istar

by Jaffar the Imaginary Friend

This details the journey of Raistlin and Crysania to Ancient Istar, with apologies to Elton John and his song, 'Crocodile Rock'.

I remember when Krynn was young
Me and Crysania had so much fun
Holding hands and traveling through time
I had the Staff of Magius and a Tower of mine
But the biggest thrill we've had so far
Was going to a place called Ancient Istar
While the other mages talked with Dalamar
We were casting and blasting in Ancient Istar

Well, Ancient Istar is some place better
With lich-wizards to kill
I never knew me a better place and I guess I never will
Great Paladine! That Yuletide noon
With the Cataclysm coming soon
Ancient Istar is going out with a boom

Well the years went by and Istar just died
Crysania went and left it for a later time
Long nights spent casting wistful looks
Dreaming of Solace and my old spellbooks
But they'll never kill the thrills so far
Having a blast in Ancient Istar
Looking back as the years went past
We really thought that Ancient Istar would last

Well, Ancient Istar is some place better
With lich-wizards to kill
I never knew me a better place and I guess I never will
Great Paladine! That Yuletide noon
With the Cataclysm coming soon
Ancient Istar is going out with a boom

I remember when Krynn was young
Me and Crysania had so much fun
Holding hands and traveling through time
I had the Staff of Magius and a Tower of mine
But the biggest thrill we've had so far
Was going to a place called Ancient Istar
While the other mages talked with Dalamar
We were casting and blasting in Ancient Istar

Well, Ancient Istar is some place better
With lich-wizards to kill
I never knew me a better place and I guess I never will
Great Paladine! That Yuletide noon
With the Cataclysm coming soon
Ancient Istar is going out with a boom
